Dr. Amonette’s doctoral studies were in church history and theology, and his dissertation was entitled “Alexander Campbell among the Baptists: An Examination of the Beginning, Ambiguity, and Deterioration of Their Relationship, 1812-30.” From 1998 to 2003 Dr Amonette served the New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary as Contract Instructor in Church History. He taught several courses in 2002-03 at Xavier University of Louisiana in New Orleans. As a graduate student in 2000-02 he was an adjunct professor teaching western civilization at the New Orleans School of Urban Missions in Gretna, Louisiana. Dr Amonette is involved in scholarly research and has written papers that he read at the He is currently writing a book about theology from rock and roll. His ministry experience includes three youth ministry positions while he was in seminary.
