Minor Prophets of the Old Testament
--No evidence. Obadiah was a popular name. Thirteen
different Obadiahs appear in the OT.
--Early in the exile, 580s or a little later, soon after the
defeat of Judah & Jerusalem by Babylon.
--When the Babylonians attacked Judah, Edom helped them. They
took control of southern Judah. Edom exploited the defeat of Judah &
Jerusalem (see Obadiah 11-13).
--Unknown.
--Edom would be held accountable for its actions against
Judah.
--The exiles of Israel would be delivered & once again
dwell & rule in Jerusalem.
