Ronald D. Worden, Ph.D., HGST's first Academic Dean, served in this capacity for 20 years, as well as Interim President prior to Dr. Jenkins' arrival in June 2003.

Dr. Worden retired in July 2007, but he will keep an office on campus and will continue to teach on a limited basis as Emeritus Professor of Biblical Studies.
