About Dr. Ellis
Dr. Ellis graduated from Capella University with a PhD in Human Services Specialization in Counseling Studies in 2016, having received the Master of Arts in Counseling in 2008 from Houston Graduate School of Theology. In addition, she earned the Bachelor of Science degree in Social Science from University of Houston-Downtown. From Houston Community College, she earned the Associate degree in Applied Science, Registered Nurse (RN) and, earlier, Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN). Dr. Ellis has been an RN for over 30 years with qualifications in various healthcare settings, to include public health, mental health, rehabilitation, school nursing, dialysis, hospice, managed healthcare, and other areas, with specialty experience in case management.
Dr. Ellis is experienced in leadership and management, as well as licensed vocational nursing (LVN) with long-term care and geriatric experience. She has also worked as a Licensed Professional Counselor Intern. She is a licensed registered nurse in the State of Texas, has a national case management certification from The Commission for Case Manager Certification, and is CPR certified.
