About Dr. Day

 

Robin Day is a psychotherapist in private practice. In this capacity, she provides in-patient therapy for Deer Oaks, a behavioral health organization. Dr. Day has provided counseling for domestic violence organizations throughout the south Texas area.

Prior to this, Dr. Day provided counseling for the Texas prison system. She is published in Trauma Psychology, Div 56 of the American Psychological Association. Her dissertation was a qualitative study of trauma resulting from long term domestic abuse. She has presented at annual Texas Counseling Association events on the topic of domestic abuse and its impact on the family. Dr. Day has specialized therapeutic expertise with trauma and gerontology.

She has earned a PhD in Counselor Education and an MA in Psychology from Texas A & M University in Corpus Christi, Texas, and a BA in International Relations from the University of St. Thomas in Houston, Texas.
