About Dr. Kodnovich
Dr. Bia Lima Kodnovich has a PhD in Counselor Education and Supervision from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University; a Master’s in Psychology, Development, and Education from Universidad de Cádiz, Spain; and a Specialist Degree in Clinical Psychology from Universidade Federal do Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Dr. Lima Kodnovich has conducted several research studies in the psychology/counseling field, some of which she presented at national and international conferences. She is also the author of published articles and has been invited to speak in various settings in Brazil, Spain, and in the USA. She has worked in different settings such as university, schools, hospital, child’s protective services, women’s center, non-profit organizations, and private practice.
Prior to becoming a counselor, Dr. Lima Kodnovich worked for many years as a teacher in Brazil. Teaching, learning, and engaging with her students has always been a passion for her. She is also very engaged in her local church and community and has co-led different groups at her parish. Dr. Lima Kodnovich is the mother of three lovely children between the ages of 2 and 8 years old. Spending time with her loved ones is by far her favorite activity. Such a broad range of experience has allowed her not only to grow professionally, personally, and spiritually, but also to reaffirm her passion for working in the counseling field, both teaching counselors in training and providing therapy to help others.
