About Dr. Bryant
Vaughn Bryant is a Marriage and Family Therapist, Professional Counselor, Chemical Dependency Specialist, and Ordained Minister.
Dr. Bryant has spent the past 28 years working in clinical, academic, and pastoral care settings, helping individuals and families resolve problems of the human condition. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology (1988), a Master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy (1991) and a PhD in Psychology and Christian Counseling (2000). He is licensed by the Texas Department of State Health Services as a Professional Counselor (LPC), as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), and as a Chemical Dependency Counselor (LCDC). He is also approved by the LPC, LMFT, and LCDC boards as a clinical supervisor.
Dr. Bryant continues to stay informed of the evidenced-based best practices for mental health and recently completed certification in Dialectical Behavior Therapy.
He is the manager of Staff Development and Spiritual Care at Memorial Hermann Prevention and Recovery Center where he functions as a clinical and pastoral caregiver, trainer, and supervisor. His experience and training has focused in the field of substance use disorder treatment, mental health, and family therapy.
