About Dr. Fuller
Dr. Amy Fuller holds both a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from St. Mary's University and master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Abilene Christian University. She is in private practice in Houston, Texas, specializing in couples and sex therapy, trauma, and depression with over 20 years’ experience in the field of mental health. Dr. Fuller is a differentiation-based therapist, Certified Sex Therapist with the American Association of Sex Educators, Therapists, and Counselors (AASECT), and holds extensive training in EMDR and hypnosis.
A Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Supervisor and Licensed Professional Counselor Supervisor, she also serves as the founding and clinical director of the Fuller Life Family Therapy Institute, a non-profit counseling training organization that provides affordable therapy to the community as well as an opportunity for training and supervision of developing marriage and family therapists. Dr. Fuller is an approved AAMFT supervisor and holds a certification in leadership from AAMFT.
Dr. Fuller has been married to Dave Fuller for 21 years and has two children. She enjoys reading, meditative prayer, yoga, triathlons, sewing, spending time with her children, dating her husband, and speaking for various churches, organizations, and retreats. She serves on the Board of Directors at the Austin Graduate School of Theology. Along with her husband, Dr. David Fuller, she was named Distinguished Alumnus by her alma mater, Abilene Christian University, in 2015.of experience has allowed her not only to grow professionally, personally, and spiritually, but also to reaffirm her passion for working in the counseling field, both teaching counselors in training and providing therapy to help others.
