Master of Arts in Christian Ministry Debuts
A new two-year degree arrived at HGST this summer. The Master of Arts in Christian Ministry (MACM) is a professional degree for men and women preparing to serve in a variety of contexts and specialized ministries.
In June, the Association of Theological Schools in the United States and Canada (ATS) approved the 38-hour degree—and it replaced our long-running master’s degrees in Missional Leadership (MAML) and Spiritual Direction (MASD). Those key areas of study (Missional Leadership and Spiritual Direction) are now concentrations in the MACM, along with Public Theology.
No worries, though, for those already pursuing the MAML and MASD: they can complete their program, or they may switch to the new degree.
